Have you heard about Swagbucks? This is so easy and it really works! Go to Swagbucks and sign up for your account. (Please note, if you follow this link you will be giving me a referral. This would allow me to earn matching Swagbucks on your online searches. I would really appreciate the help in accruing Swagbucks more quickly but you could also just go to the site and sign up without giving me the referral too. Okay, official disclaimer over.)
Now that you have your account just got to Swagbucks instead of Google or another search engine to do your everyday web searches. Every so often you will win some Swagbucks. You just leave these in your account until you accrue enough to redeem for something you want or can use.
700 Swagbucks gives you $5 for your Paypal account. Who couldn't use a little cash? I prefer to get Amazon gift cards. When you earn 450 Swag points you can get a code for a $5 Amazon gift card. Oddly enough, you have to pay $3150 for a $25 gift card but buying 5 $5 cards only costs a total of $2250 points.
Fair warning, Swagbucks does restrict that you can only redeem 2 prizes per day and 4 of the same prizes in one month. Since it takes 10-14 days to get the prizes you do need to plan ahead just a little to make sure you have all your reward codes for when you need them. Once you redeem them you can just leave them in your account until you need them.
And I learned the hard way that you cannot use your points to order a gift card for someone else. If you really want to give someone a gift card you would have to just give them the codes to enter into their own Amazon account instead of entering it into your own. Next year I will make up some type of certificate on the computer and put the codes on that to give away.
I did manage to use $10 of my gift cards to buy a book and I have $20 left in my account to buy something else from Amazon later. I earned $30 by doing internet searches I would have done anyway. Okay, I will take it!
